I know I know blogging can be tough, purely for the fact you have no idea what to write about. Well, I have written this article to give you some help with your blogging. I have only suggested 4 No-Brainer Ideas To Get Your Creative Mind Stomping but to be honest there are tons, and tons.

I don’t mean that to be condescending in any way. But honestly, when you get into the swing of blogging, as long as you’ve chosen the right niche, then I seriously feel you’ll have no problems thinking of ideas to blog about.

JUST GET STARTED – AND STOP THINKING ABOUT STARTING

You do need a large dose of creativity to start an article. While creativity may come natural to many people, some get frozen on the spot. I’ve heard of writers literally tearing their hair out when they get writers block.

How to get your creative juices flowing?

Putting words into images in the readers mind can be an art form. A clear and crisp depiction requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide. Similes and metaphors help a lot, but you are not writing a novel here.

You do not have to get stuck on the whole essence of a masterpiece. It might even help if you forget about the computer. Grab a notepad and a pencil and go sit in a different spot to your work desk. Try sitting on the toilet. At the kitchen table. On the back step into your garden. I’ve found the very fact of changing your position to write can help massively.

But as I always teach “JUST GET STARTED – AND STOP THINKING ABOUT STARTING”. Step one is your first draft and I’d say just get something down on paper first. You might even have 2 or 3 things to blog about, so get your three drafts down first. Don’t worry about spelling, grammar or flow. Then take a break.

The Second Draft in Blogging: Editing

Writing an article doesn’t just mean putting down thoughts into words then typing it out. You have to capture the interest of your readers. And the tricky part is getting them to keep on reading.

This is where your second draft of editing comes in. To grab your readers’ attention you have to have a firm grasp of their interest and pique their curiosity.

This is an art in itself, and I’ll talk about this in depth in another blog post. So what else can you do when nothing comes to mind? There is no sure-fire way to get the perfect ideas but here are some ways to get your Creative Mind Stomping:

A Relaxed State to Write

1) First of all, relax and take time to sort things out. A jumbled up noggin (that’s mind to you guys who didn’t work it out) cannot create any space for new ideas. You need a clear mind if you want your creative juices to flow at full speed. Get rid of all obstacles that can be a hindrance to your creativity.

If you are bothered by something, you cannot force your mind to stay focused. I love to do my Morning Rituals before I start blogging.

If you never followed my blog series “25 Days to Success Challenge” go take a look HERE – (Or copy this link https://www.greg-noland.com/category/25-day-success-challenge )

On day 2 I discussed my 8 Step Morning Ritual.  This gets my mind-set into an awesome state, gets the super-brain fluid pumping through my spine into my brain, and oxygen pumping round my body. Even a blast of 20 press-ups will help you get into a better state of mind to write your blog post.

Try to relax every time that you can and think about your experiences and interactions with others. Your experiences are what shape your mind-set and your opinions which could be reflected in your blog posts. Try to discover yourself, find out what triggers your emotions.

Discover what inspires you and what pisses you off. You can use these emotions to help express yourself.

Recording Your Thoughts To Write

2) Keep a notepad or journal with you always. Or use the notepad on your iphone. You can send notes straight to your Evernote account for organised storage. Ideas can be triggered by anything you may hear, see, or smell.

Your senses are your radar in finding great ideas. Write all of them into a journal and keep it with you for future reference. You may also write down anything that you have read or heard, someone’s ideas could be used to develop your own ideas.

Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere. Just make sure you only use these ideas as a skeleton, and then add your flair to them.

A Working Environment for Writers

3) Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness. A crappy work area will kill your creativity.  When you’re in a good state of mind, in a relaxed work space you’ll be fired up to write.

Surround your working place with objects which inspire you. Quotes, pictures, and objects that inspire can get your creativeness stomping.

Think about the colour of your working area too. For a $10 lick of paint you can transform any area.

Setting The Mood for Creative Writing

4) Set the mood. Setting the mood requires you to just go with the moment to feel what makes your mind works best. You must learn more about yourself. Will reading a page of ‘Think and Grow Rich’ inspire you to greatness? You need to find ways to get your creative juices flowing. Do you need to listen to massage/spa music for ten minutes before you write to get you in a relaxed state.

Or how about ‘Underworld’ to go the opposite way?  I’ve just both types of music in the past to set the pace and tempo of my mood. There are many ways to set the mood. Some writers will have a beer or a glass of wine to giggle their imagination.

I hope this article has given you some ideas how to get your creative juices flowing. As always it will be very much appreciated if you would leave a comment in the box below. And if you can share the link to this article with your herd, my momma will love you just as much as she loves me.
