Welcome to Day 21 of the 25 Day Success Challenge

The days are ticking by now and we’re almost to the end of the 25 Day Success Challenge.

So how did you go with my ‘Top 9 Reasons Why Entrepreneurs Fail’ on Day 20?

Were you able to develop a structure into your business to avoid them? Keep working at this because it is essential to your success.

I know it can feel like there is too much to know, too much to learn to be successful Entrepreneurs and that’s what I want to discuss with you today.

Information Overload Is the Entrepreneurs #1 Enemy

If you can master information overload you will give yourself a massive jump forward against your competition. The formula for making money as an internet entrepreneur is actually quite simple.

You choose a niche, find out what people want, build a list of prospects, create products to help the people in that niche, and then sell your products to your list.

Do you think that is too difficult?

Perhaps you think it sounds easy.

But in reality every step of the way can be extremely difficult. If you have been following my advice you are planning carefully. Perhaps you have started your business already, or you are at the preparation stage.

Either way I think you might now be having some doubts about whether you chose the right niche.

When you started researching your niche it might have come blatantly obvious that you faced ‘Information Overload’. You might have started thinking:

  • Do I have the skills and knowledge to do all of this?
  • There seems so much to do.
  • Where do I start?
  • I can’t do everything at once. I need some help.

It’s not just about the information you already know, and the skills you already have. But being able to put that knowledge and those skills into practice and see it through to the end.

Perhaps you have been thinking “There must be an easier way which will allow me to skip the hard part and get right into the action”.

It is very important as an entrepreneur to tackle this Information Overload because it can swallow up valuable time on tasks like checking emails. This overload can lead to huge amounts of stress and bad health.

So how can you avoid the Information Overload?

Tips to Avoid The Information Overload

  1. Do your Most Important Job First

Many entrepreneurs start their day by checking their emails and checking how many books or products they sold overnight. Don’t do this! Checking emails does NOT usually require massive brain power so you are wasting valuable time when your brain is at peak performance.

And you might say to yourself “oh I’ll just check if so-and-so has replied, and then I’ll get down to my A list of jobs”. But that rarely happens. The inbox can be a graveyard for business owners. Once we check one email, then another grabs our attention, and then another.

And your day is ruined.

As soon as you get out of bed, do your Morning Rituals and then get straight on to Job # 1.

And you WILL already know what that is without opening your computer.

  1. Have your Notepad Handy

As a business owner your brain is bound to be racing. You remember all sorts of things as you are doing your Big Three Jobs (as discussed on previous days of the 25 Day Success Challenge).

But Do Not Start Doing That Task. Instead jot it down, and get back to your Big Three Jobs.

  1. Do NOT check Facebook or any Social Media

You’ll be distracted just like I mentioned above.

  1. Do NOT Read the News

Do NOT even read the news in print, online or with the news on TV. The news will usually be depressing and ruin your peak state which you got yourself into during your incantations.

  1. Email Before Lunch

As soon as I start to feel hungry I know I am losing concentration and my super-powers. Therefore, that is a signal I can check my email. I know I want to eat so I will not let the task take too long. 5 or 10 minutes and I am done. Perfect.

  1. Plan the Night Before

Plan your day the night before not first thing in the morning. You need to know exactly what you are doing for the day while you are doing your Morning Rituals. Or else you face ruining your most productive part of the day.

  1. Do not Multitask

Multitasking will cost you your success. Do not respond to your phone or any beeps from your computer. In fact you should not have any of your electronic devices set to accept ‘success destroying’ notifications.

So grab your phone right now and delete every notification. Turn off all ‘beeps’ your computer makes like notifying that you have mail. I even read somewhere that multitasking is worse to our brain’s ability to function that smoking pot. So do everything in your super-powers to resist multitasking.

  1. Make Sure You Take Breaks

I have found I work best if I get up and grab a fresh glass of water every 50 or 55 minutes. I will stretch my back and leg muscles by touching my toes.

Do a variety of twists to generate superstar fluid up my spine to my brain and even get down and do a burst of press-ups.

In the afternoons, I often take a 10 or 15 minute power nap, usually after my afternoon work session, and before I go to the gym.

  1. Delegate as Much as Possible

You will reach super star success levels much quicker if you can learn to develop systems for your business which allows you to delegate as much as possible.

The master successful people will delegate practically their entire business as soon as possible.

Ok, let’s end here today. If you have some tips to Beat Information Overload please put them in the Comments box below. Are you hitting the gym after reading this? Have you already been?

Perhaps you are on the stair-master as you are reading this.. good on ya!

Dedicated to your success,
